DLP specialises in the design, development and manufacture of products for the assisted living sector, particularly in bathrooms and kitchens. Its products enable people with mobility issues to live independently in their own homes.
We have 25 years of experience in the accessibility market and are the UK market leader achieving growing international reach, with distribution in both continental Europe and the USA. Our specialist products are sold and distributed by our subsidiary company AKW. As a group we employ over 260 trained staff, 80 of which are based on the Isle of Man and have an annual turnover of £40m.
Our 30, 000 sq ft Group Headquarters in Snugborough host our Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance and IT functions. This is complemented by 100, 000 sq ft distribution facilities in the Droitwich, UK and Tournai, Belgium.
All product design and prototype development takes place in the Engineering Department at Snugborough and we then manufacture here on the Island or through one of our world wide manufacturing partners.
Our Engineering team focus on designing and developing products to enable people with mobility issues to live independently in their own homes. The product range is focused on bathrooms and kitchens and has an increasing technology aspect, as illustrated earlier this year by their launch of the multi award winning iCare, the world’s first Bluetooth Smart controlled electric shower which was designed and developed here in the Isle of Man.
